Raven and Sebastian
From the adopter of Raven" My Raven (aka Kallie) had a beautiful baby colt, and I have named him Sebastian. He was born Saturday, June 18th, in the early morning. Raven is a good mother and

Sebastian
is doing good too. I love them so much. This makes me the proud owner of four horses now. ("My little horse herd") When Sebastian is weaned, I plan on having Raven trained for riding."

Isis's filly in Texas

Ontario (J11)

Ontario
From the adopter of Ontario "He is a great horse. He now leads, bathes, stands for the farrier, Loves to be groomed and even have his mane braided. He can be tied with supervision, because we're still working on that, he has also been started on a training bit. He is a dream horse, he is so willing to please and the easiest horse in the world to work with. I will keep you updated and send you more pictures. He is now 14.2 hands and gained 78 pounds in 4 months. Thank you so much and good luck."

Violet in Canada

Violet in Texas

Beylah (formerly Violet) in Florida
at her new home
From the adopter of Violet "Violet's new name is Beylah and she is doing great. I had to keep her in a stall for about 2 weeks when I first got her because the place I board at only has large fields in which she was impossible to catch. Once she got used to people and treats we moved her to a large but smaller 'foaling' field' and she now comes to me when I go out to see/catch her. She recently had her first real foot trim and she behaved beautifully for the farrier except for being a little nervous about the hoof stand. She lunges wonderfully and I just recently sat on her for the first time (only sitting NO riding until the baby
comes!) She was great, didn't even seem to notice I was up there. I was quite nervous about adopting a horse sight unseen but Beylah is my dream horse, she is so calm and even tempered-eventually we are going to have lots of  fun on the trails and in the show ring!- and with only 2 1/2 months of handling she is much easier to handle and work with than my previous 'well-trained' Hunter-Jumper thoroughbred. Thank you so much for taking Beylah in (and all the other beautiful girls too) and giving people across the nation a chance to find their perfect horse."

Mia (formerly Trinity) in Canada
"I just wanted to give you an update on "Trinity" whom I adopted 2 weeks ago. She is now living fat and sassy in Combine, Texas. She spent her first night at home in her stall. She was very easy to work with in the stall and took quickly to brushing and loving.

The next day I let her out in the small pasture and worked with her for a few days out there, bringing her in at night. Now, she stays in the big pasture out back. She is already working 30 minutes a day on the long line. She has neighbor horse friends that she runs along the fence line with. I cannot believe how beautiful she is. I have brushed about 20 pounds of hair from her. She's shiny and sleek. I am SO in love with this gal. Her new name is Mia and she seems to like it very much. The vet came out to check her last week and he says she's not due until August or September. Based on that, I think I will just keep working her on the long line with a saddle and get her very well ground trained and then start riding her after she foals. I'm disappointed that I have to wait all Summer, but that's the way things go. Anyway, I just want to thank you for what you do. I couldn't be happier with Mia."

Shortcake
Very big!
From the adopter of Crissie after less than a month after adopting her" Just a quick note to let you know that Chrissie and baby are both doing well. Chrissie is sweet kind and patient and has already mastered a lot  of the level 1 Parelli that we use on all our horses. Baby now called Shortcake is doing great and is halter broke and leading well. Both have had their feet done by my blacksmith (baby did excellent)"

Lilly
Great sport horse potential!

Lily with her new best friend!
From the adopter of Princess and Lily "Today was weaning day! Ooooohhhh my gosh!!! For 3 months, all we'd ever heard out of Princess was what we call "snuffling" - snorting thru her nostrils! Well, we heard her voice rather quickly when we separated them for the first time! We'd heard the baby's voice months ago, the first time we took the quarter horse out for a ride! She didn't understand why we were putting stuff on him, and then took him away from her!!! We loved to hear her whinny! We've been working with her - she's pretty much halter broke and she's leading pretty well. Now to work on Princess! We've given her a pretty wide berth - it's clear that she's got some trust issues, but she does warm up to us after a bit. They both LOVE to be groomed - they'll stand still for that forever! What's coolest I think is how our Quarter Horse, Bo, fit right in with them - we did the introduction pretty early - after only a couple of days after Princess and Lily arrived. There was one brief altercation between Momma and Gelding, but after that, they have all definitely bonded. Thank the Lord - this weaning is going to be a little bit easier on Lily now, thanks to Bo's company!"

From the adopter of Maggie "I had to show you the newest pictures I took of Maggie. Isn't she gorgeous? Looking at her today, you'd never guess she wasn't an expensive colored Warmblood. Great looks; big, bold, ground-covering gaits; and a calm, sweetheart of a personality. Who could ask for anything more?"

From the adopter for #4 "I just wanted to send you an update on Mare 4, now called Rhona. What a wonderful horse she is! Everyone around the stable agrees that she's one of the sweetest horses they've ever met, and she gets calmer and friendlier by the day. She's no longer head-shy, and her training is progressing much faster than I expected. She picked up basic lungeing in less than five minutes, and now, just 2.5 weeks after her adoption, she's lungeing at a walk and trot, both directions, without any need for a lunge line. Yesterday I introduced her to a bridle and bit, and within half an hour she was carrying the bit as if she'd been doing it for years. I fully expect to start riding her before the end of the summer. I'll send you updated pics then. Thanks again for rescuing this wonderful animal!!"

Zola (J9) in 2005                                 Zola (now known as Maggy), April 2009

From the adopters of Maggy (formerly Zola J9):  "Just wanted to give you an update on the horse we got from you in 2005 as a yearling.  Her name at your place was Zola, but we call her Maggy.  She is a Percheron/Belgian cross.  We have had her in driving training with Gene Brown in Denton.  She is doing great.  She has been in training for 4 months and drives and rides.  We drove her this weekend and what a good girl. Especially since we don't have a clue about driving.  Hopefully, I will ride her soon.  She is such a big girl and so different from when we got her.  We look forward to years of fun with her."
